Come Fire With Us (April 21-26, 2026)

Service Description

Participants will be asked to bring various sized bisqueware equaling 10-20 pieces to be fired during the workshop. Participants should expect to be working in close proximity to fire throughout the workshop and may be tasked with tending a kiln through the overnight hours. The kiln is stoked with wood, in small teams for 6 hour shifts over 2 days. Expect to work 2-3 shifts at the kiln, with a 12 hour break between shifts. Day 1: Meet and Greet, Glazing and Wadding Day 2: Load Kiln (Alice), Lighting kiln ASAP. Day 3: Firing on your shift. Day 4: Firing on your shifts. Firing off the kiln in the evening. Day 5: Rest Day 6: Unload in when Alice is cool enough, with a bit of kiln clean up. And head home.
